In essence, these are the categories that your belongings will be sorted into.  Looks easy when it’s written down like that but  it’s not quite that straightforward, obviously!

Your belongings might have a story behind them, sometimes you have an emotional tie with them. It’s therefore not quite that simple to compartmentalise them. If you want a decluttered space you have to consider items and decide where they best belong – this is where I come in. I can help you to decide where that place is without you having to be pushed into a decision you are not comfortable with.

If you decide to keep items, I will explain where they would be better suited in your home. I may decide to reorganise a space/room so it is less cluttered and is easier to use. I can also sell items if you’d like me to. This is something I would do whilst in your home and list items immediately on Facebook selling sites or eBay, if you wish.  I sell a lot on both of these sites and have excellent knowledge on prices and how a listing should look.

I am very passionate about recycling as much as possible so I will always recycle and recommend places that your items can be taken. I try very hard not to bin items unless necessary.

I can also take your items to the charity shop for you, I am happy to fill my car up with each visit. I also clean as I go along so your cupboards, floors and surfaces are looking good for your items to return to.

Questions & Answers

How far do you travel?

I am based in Windsor and will travel free of charge up to 10 miles from my home.

I work school hours which suit my clients well as 4-5 hour chunks are manageble. My minimum amont of hours are 2.

Do you work alone or with me?

I can do either; it is completely your preference.  I would need to have clear goals and guidelines from you if you’d like me to work on my own.  The free video or in home consultation I offer is a big part of this.

Why I need you?

Lack of time. Started a project and got stuck. Not sure where to begin on a sort out. Bereavement. Moving house. Illness or disability. Struggling to keep yourself motivated.

Can I have spaces/drawers that are off limits?

Yes, absolutely.  This is your personal space so I will be very sensitive to that. Just let me know if you have any areas you’d prefer me not to touch or any particulary fragile items.

What questions might you ask me during the sorting stage?

What do you struggle to throw away? Do you use this item? Is it broken? Do you have a home for it? Does this serve you in your life today?

What supplies do you bring?

Cardboard boxes. Bin liners. Pens. Large post-it notes to label up boxes. Anti-bacterial wipes. Stapler. Paper. Elastic bands. Scissors.

Can you label boxes for me?

Yes, I have a labelling machine which i can use. This is free of charge.

What happens after my free phone call/video call/home visit?

I will send you: 

  • Proposal for the work I will be carrying out
  • Terms and conditions

You can then look through everything and decide if you would like to book a session with me. 

I only charge for the hours I work therefore if you book a days session and it takes less time you will only pay the hours it took me to complete the work.
